I finally purchased an xlr mic (an Audio Technica AT2020), now I'm looking for a good interface to go with it. I've heard good things about PreSonus AudioBox which I've been finding for good prices on eBay. I don't want to spend more than $50 on a used one so I've been trying to look for the perfect deal. I've also come across another audio interface called the Behringer U-Phoria UM2 which cost $30 new from Amazon. I'm considering getting this one but I'm concerned that it won't have as much longevity as the PreSonus AudioBox in the long run when it comes to upgrading mics and hardware. Does anyone have experience with either of these two interfaces? If so, which one should I go with?

I haven't used either interface, so I can't say how I like one versus the other. That being said, a reasonable sanity check you can do is to hit the support forum for the DAW you use to see if there are any issues with either of the interfaces on your list. It won't tell you which one sounds better, but it'll keep you from stumbling into too many problems like driver issues.
Also, I think there are a couple of threads on the forums here where people went through their studio setups. I can't remember how many people mentioned the interfaces they were using, but you might take a look through the forum threads to see if there's anyone's brain you could pick.

I haven't had experience with either of these two, but I currently use a Scarlett FocusRite Solo which is also a good easy to use interface for VO and reasonably priced - may be another option to consider.
