A while back I released a game called "Aquacreep", which was a horror mystery game inspired by the 1982 film "The Thing". In it, the player took on the role of one of the 8 ocean researchers held up on a secluded sealab during a tropical storm. To complicate matters, a horrific specimen capable of shapeshifting had infiltrated their ranks and posed as a member of the crew. The goal of the game was to find out which of your fellow humans was actually a homicidal doppelganger and make it to the end of the game while losing as few of your fellow humans as possible.
You can actually play it for free here if it interest you: gamejolt.com/games/the-creeps-live-on/280540
To help bring the characters to life, I had help from some really talented voice actors I recruited from this very site, and while I'm reusing the previous work from a majority of those folk, I have 2 roles I'm looking to revise. The roles are that of "TREVOR" whom I couldn't find a participant for and had to voice myself. I am neither a voice actor nor do I own any equipment, so for the 3D version I'm looking to bring on someone capable of playing the part on par with the rest of the cast, and "THOMAS" who was voiced competently enough, however due to a visual redesign, I feel requires a different take to fully realize.
Info on the roles as follows:
TREVOR: As the security officer on staff, Trevor is laid back in peace time while vigilant at war. He gets along well with the other crew members but becomes distrusting when the shapeshifter's presence is revealed. When the player ask Trevor about a suspicious scream they hear, Trevor confides in the player to the attack witnessed on security camera. The two devise a plan and he becomes your main support in the fight to eradicate the shapeshifter. If the player loses Trevor's trust during the course of the game, his responses become hostile, and he will openly regret teaming up, feeling as though the player cannot be trusted.
Audition line 1: "Somebody just got attacked by something. 'Who' and by 'what' isn't exactly clear as you can see from the video feed, but whoever it was got back up and shook it off like it was nothing."
(should a bit more of a mysterious/ominous vibe to it, its the 2 characters watching the monster on a video feed trying to make sense of what they are looking at.)
Audition line 2: "You think!? Man, it got away up through the ceiling panels, who knows where it could be right now! Shit, if bullets don't kill this thing, what the fuck kind of options does that leave us with!?"
(a bit more hysterical, you just witnessed the monster break out of a human being and everyone in the room is basically on edge and freaking out.)
Thomas: Thomas is the dive boat captain. He's the first npc the player encounters in the game. Not much to say about Thomas other than like the rest of the people the player encounters he will trust you until he sees you kill an innocent. As tensions mount he may get a bit standoffish and act suspiciously vague at times, but generally accepts the nature of the situation and goes along with plans to figure out the monster's identity.
Audition line 1: There you are! I was just about to radio you, control wants us back A.S.A.P, said some freak tropical storm just popped up on radar.
Audition line 2: "At any rate, things aren't looking too good for us right now. We'll all need to stay vigilant. Might be a good idea if we all stay far away from each other...then again, maybe that's the last thing we want to do..."
That's about it. Any questions feel free to ask. I'd like to wrap up auditions as quickly as possible so lets call the closing date 1 week from now, Next Monday the 10th of December.
