I'll get to the point to save everyone time here I've been going out and emailing every visual novel, or small anime project out there that I can find to help build my resume up. I've gotten to a point however where I'd like to make it a little easier on myself if possible. I was told by a friend about "casting pools" and when i asked how to get involved in one.. my friend had no idea how or where to even look for one. My second request is very similar... casting directors. I assume this is something related to casting pools and it leads to the same question.. How do I find them and how do I get involved? I believe this is a question suitable for many others aspiring to make their love for voice acting into a career. So any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you

I feel like in those cases it mostly comes down to knowing the right people, friends of friends, etc I'm hoping to get the word out somehow to more content creators about this forum, so they can have a central place to find new voices!

I agree with LadyStardust, it's mostly through networking. I also found it helpful to use some keyword searches through various social media, you'd be surprised with what you can find with just that (Twitter and Reddit in particular). With that being said, I also have a few links that you can check out and see if it can help you: 1) This is a PDF compiled by Amy Jo Berman, it is a list of casting directors that you can find on twitter. Even though most are more aligned with TV and Film casting, they may post voice over casting calls/casting pools. amyjoberman.com/lp/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/193-CDs-on-Twitter-Amy-Jo-Berman-Mar-2016-v.1.pdf2) This a form you can fill out for a voice over talent pool hosted by Voiceiyuu. docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdkgWb7d7El-ESvt6TwHCRUMbtrxdggVdm6qZTMDARj4QfOGg/viewform3) Michaela Amanda Laws (the voice of Yandere Chan in Yandere Simulator and Director of Seraphim Entertainment) also posts casting calls for private casting pools for her upcoming visual novels once in awhile on her FaceBook page. Edit: 4) Oh! There is a community where those who are working on visual novels can post their work in progress. They also have threads exclusive for show casing voice talent and offering paid work (although the latter is mostly for writers and artists, but sometimes casting calls are posted there too.) lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewforum.php?f=58That's all I can think of right off the bat. If I remember any others I'll edit them into this post. Brittany Ann

You can try, but I wouldn't use this form to submit to Voiceiyuu. Voiceiyuu hasn't been really been active in over a year.

A couple friends of mine run a casting notification aggregator account called Solid Studios, where they share open casting calls from all over the place, including here. (I've been a bad friend and not posted anything to it lately, but I've been 100% swamped. Looking to fix that soon).
There's also the possibility, if you're interested in mostly commercial reads as résumé padding, of getting your foot in the door via pay-to-play sites like voices.com or voice123.com - a lot of people will hit up commercial sites like that because seeing as the talent pool pays to audition, they're confident enough in their skills to where they're comfortable dropping ~$400/yr. and thus you don't get rank amateurs auditioning.
I wouldn't recommend it unless you're sure your skills are up to par to recoup your $35/month but I've met some great casting directors from sites like that. And LOTS of puzzle games and phone apps. Again, not a recommendation or endorsement of either site, just listing it as an option.
Hope this helps!
