Checked in with them, turns out their shipping was a little too expensive, so I've grabbed the components that I need from StoreDJ instead.
What I've got ordered at the moment: An AT2020 Microphone, the Focusrite USB Interface, an XLR cable to connect the two together. Is there anything else that I need for a first time setup? I've already got headphones and the focusrite comes with Abbleton, anything else you guys can think I need?

Thanks guys, I'm looking into Sweetwater at the moment but I'm not sure if they'll ship to Australia. Also, benedict, what exactly do you mean by an interface? I haven't done any recording stuff outside of my uni studio so apologies for how green I am.

Hey guys. Now that I'm not able to make it to my uni studio as frequently, I'm looking into getting a microphone for home recording. The most notable one I've seen recommended is the AT2020, but due to its need for a phantom power supply, I stumbled upon this microphone pack. www.storedj.com.au/focusrite-scarlett-solo-studio-package-w-pro-tools-and-ableton-live-generation-2Do you guys think I would be better off going with the AT2020 or buying the scarlett studio bundle? Or is there another mic setup you guys would recommend?

Hey guys, the first finished project that I've worked on was just released today. It was a small university project for one of my friends who was finishing this year. youtu.be/XJx2clsFXao?t=7m12s The link provided starts at the portion for my character, Fransitart. If you guys have any feedback for how I could improve on this performance, then I would love to hear it. And hot damn was it fun, if a little stressful.

I'm looking to do anything, but games and cartoons are probably the best to go with as my uni has courses for those and I might be able to land a few roles there, would the NIDA stuff still be useful for it? Also thanks for the reply.

So I've seen a lot of advice from here saying that professional workshops are a great way to improve as a voice actor, but I can't seem to find any in Australia. If you guys know of any in Australia, particularly the Melbourne/Victoria section, it would be much appreciated if you could please inform me where they are.
Thanks - Areoss

Hi there. My name is Wade McDonald and I'm an Australian voice actor. I've been doing acting as a whole for 4 years but only recently decided to invest more into voice acting.
I've been trying to apply for the games and animation voice acting roles around my university, but decided I'd also set up an account on here to learn from more experienced actors.
Hope to see more of you guys in the future!
