Plenty of sales out there for a lot of voice over related equipment, software, etc, and because of some purchases or discoveries I've made recently, there should a topic on exchanging info on where to find the best deals on anything in this field, such as gear, editing programs, membership or classes. Of course these deals are temporary or would have a permanent markdown, so let's do our best to help each other out by saving a buck. Better than making a topic about a hot deal, and finding out it's gone. Please be sure to tell us how long the sale is for if you know, and when the sale started. As a bit of consideration, because we are all international here, bring up the currency rate too, just so no one gets confused, and leave a link. Also, I don't want to be adding too many rules, I am open to suggestions to keep this topic efficient, but for the time being, if there's anything physical, make sure it's new, unless this becomes the unofficial swap meet topic. Ok I'll start. Sony Sound Forge 10 + a bunch of other goodies - $12USD - ends 2 weeks from now on Humble Bundle's website (check the website for their countdown) www.humblebundle.com/software-bundle
Waves NS1 Noise Suppressor - $29USD (originally $149USD) - Have no idea when the sale ends, sorry. www.waves.com/plugins/ns1-noise-suppressor#ns1-noise-suppressor-overview-and-demoEDIT: I realised this is a better section for this sort of thing

OOOH! I like this idea! I will DEFINITELY be checking on this regularly. I'm a total gear geek.
I dunno if this applies, but it's been one of my favorite things for a long time now: if anyone's in the market for Oktava mics, I've been ordering them directly from the Tula factory. (okatava-mics.net) It takes... a while... for them to arrive, and you have to communicate partially in Russian, but you'll pay ~$200 for an MK-105 as opposed to the $500-700 you'll find it for (IF you can find it) in the states. There's no shipping option for the States, so you DO have to contact them directly, but they're EXCELLENT mics.

iZotope Elements for $29, down from $129 www.izotope.com/en/products/repair-and-edit/rx/rx-elements.html - Short sale (about two days I think) Sale's over! This is one of the most powerful noise reduction plugins out there. It won't salvage a terrible recording, but it'll get closer than pretty much anything out there. This is just a very basic package but it includes most everything a VA would want for noise reduction on their own.

www.oktava-mics.net/shop/p-21/oktava_mk-105.htmlSemi-permanent deal. This is where I get my MK-105 mics. It's 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of buying them in the US. But you have to wait several weeks for it to arrive, and the site's in Russian. (Also, there's not selection for USA/Can/Mex/etc. on the drop-down menu, so you'll have to contact them if you're in North America.) 14,070 Rubles (~$240USD) It's gone up, lately. It used to be 9,000 Rubles or so.

A relatively short-lived one (end of October): Eventide is giving away their EQivocate plug-in (normally $99): www.eventideaudio.com/promo/equivocateOnly reason I found out about this was Duffy's post on matching two different microphones. The EQivocate plug-in automates the process Duffy described, albeit with a pretty sharp learning curve. But once you sort out how your DAW uses the plug-in, it's darned impressive. Only draw-back: You have to install a license manager for their software (bleah). But it works a treat.
