With the number of audition threads posted here on a regular basis, it can be easy for our team to miss posts that are violating the rules. Thankfully, if you notice this, there is a way to let us know so we can take action to address it as soon as possible.
Go to the first post of the thread (unless you need to report an individual comment or reply for some reason) and on the top righthand side there should be a "settings" icon (click here for a visual). Clicking it will open a drop-down menu allowing you to select the option "Report Post". This will send a notification to the admins and allow you to type a brief description of the rule being violated. Only admins can see who reported the post (aka, the user who posted the thread will not be aware of who, if anyone, reported them.)
Auditions threads may be reported for the following reasons:
-Lack of deadline and/or contact info
-Casting first-come first-serve
-Explicit adult content without being tagged as such
-Threads posted in the wrong section (for example: unpaid projects posted in paid sections, visual projects posted in games section, etc.)
If you notice lack of information given for a project you are interested in auditioning for, you are welcome to give the OP a friendly prompt to add more info if it has not yet been addressed by a staff member. However, please be careful to frame your post in such a way that you do not mislead them into thinking you are an admin/moderator. Of course, if you're not comfortable doing this, simply using the report post feature can be most helpful!
Alternatively, if you notice a moderator is online at a given moment, you may send them a PM to address it. However, the "report post" feature is usually better because it doesn't rely on PMing any single person and they can archive the report as soon as it's addressed to avoid redundancy.
Thank you!
