I ask because between Audacity and Adobe Audition, I've been trying to use my (legal) copy of Audition more. But it's Audition 3.
I've just spent 2 days trying to figure out how to do a voice leveling function.
I'm trying to learn how to post-edit my files better. So far I've got the following steps:
step 1: edit out crap. I'm guessing this is where you do noise reduction. step 2: voice leveler - btw I can't get that to work on audacity either. Audition has a nifty feature I like, too, so... step 3. normalizer and hard limit -2dB (is this too loud? Someone told me my files are too loud. I'm going in circles trying to figure out why I'm too loud.) step 4: remove unwanted clicks and breaths, voila you're done. Maybe?
Advice is welcome as I take my days off to level up. Weeee.
For those that say "Go to CC!" Um. No. I don't make money at this. I can't justify the expense.
