Hello there, I'm Tim. I would like to help and branch out to other aspiring voice actors by creating a voice acting community of our own. I've been voice acting online for more than 5 years now, and I own a Neumann TLM 102 microphone with a Scarlett Solo interface.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Do NOT send me a contact request if you're not a VA. This group is for VAs ONLY.
The main purpose of this particular Discord server is to educate VAs with advice, pointing out common misconceptions, rumors and fallacies, give critiques to help each other better our acting craft, vocal techniques, as well as the DOs and DON'Ts in etiquette. Any VA that has the intention of bettering their own craft and learn from others are eligible to join. That also means having an inclination in investing in proper recording equipment (an affordable USB mic is a good start). Forget about phone, laptop, and headset mics. Those aren't real mics and are ill suited for recording.
Follow the instructions in the audition, and they shall be reviewed by me.
I find it quite admirable that you're trying to build up a community of VA's on your own, but here at the VAC we've got you covered! We actually have our own Discord server that fulfills pretty much all the purposes you've listed that your server will have, and then some. You can join up right there through this link! Don't worry about a screening process or anything like that, we accept anyone and everyone!
C_Squint: Hi Y'all, thanks again for answering my question from before. Again with resumes, like the thread example, if the Company's/Developer's name is too long and goes into the second line, how should we format it?
