Hello to all of you wonderful people on this site.
My name is Alex Casswell (a person living in the UK) and I'm an aspiring voice actor who loves the industry and the hard work and effort that goes into making tons of productions possible.
I have taken shots at voice-acting before but it was mostly for fandubs or projects created by fans.
One of these productions I have worked on was a fan project called The Railways of Crotoonia.
Yes, I do feel a little embarrassed showing something like this but this project still feels special to me, it was the first major time where I was in a project not just with many other aspiring actors and creators but also working with two professional actors that the creator of this project TheMilanTooner managed to get too: Phillipa Alexander who did voice-work for the Disney Junior series Chuggington (where she reprised her role of a character from the show Calley), the well received EA game Mirror's Edge and Nintendo's Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as well as Stephanie Panisello (who voiced Tracey from The Little Engine That Could) a regular for the studio Rocket Sound who has not only done voice-work for, but has also acted as a session assistant and done both motion and facial capture for such high prolific titles including the Final Fantasy series (Final Fantasy XV, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and the mobile game Mobius Final Fantasy), Hitman, the 2016 version of Doom, BioShock Infinite and Gears of War 4 among many others.
Sure, I only voiced two workmen that aren't on for too long but it's this whole project that has fully inspired me to try and take on voice-acting and also to start focusing on actually original projects instead of stuff based on already existing properties. I was very grateful to have worked on the project.
Plus the many voices I've heard during my childhood watching TV shows (whether it be popular or long forgotten), films or playing video games have inspired me throughout the many years of my life and my dream is to be like those actors and make people happy and inspire them.
I'm very happy to have joined the Voice Acting Club and I hope to settle in as nicely as possible.
