Howdy!
My name is Spencer, I'm an animator, actor, sound engineer & composer for Extra Terrible Studios, we have recently expanded and are now equipped to offer acting/directing related workshops! We are a studio based in DFW (Addison, Tx to be particular) that offer a bevy of production capabilities such as ADR, Prelay, animation, photography, video production graphic design, blah blah blah we're very busy and a legit studio that's all you really need to know.
With regards to workshops here is what we got going on!
and yes we do offer payment plans, and our prices are not your typical $450-600 dollar price range, our price for each class is $125
We don't want to have people take our workshops just to "get in front of another influencer" we are looking to create meaningful experiences with robust opportunities by going into new territory that other workshops may not be taking advantage of. If you're a pro, or a newby, there is something for everyone here!
Joel McDonald (voice director of Gearbox Games, you know Borderlands and such)
He is teaching workshops for Directing in VO on August 31st / September 21st
Learn practical techniques for casting, interacting, and directing talent on the other side of the booth.
I've been directed by Joel and it's unfair how good he is at it, this will hone you skills as both and actor and director
Nazia Chaudhry (studio opera singer and professional VO)
Two unique workshops here, Steps to Success In VO / Vocal Health on September 10th / September 24th respectively
Learn the steps to a successful career in VO from the various genres of voiceover and career expectations, to home studio basics and agents.
Naz is one of the busiest VO's I personally know, our phone calls usually include a story or her most recent read for Pixar or Disney or someone big...I usually get a little jealous, but she's been relevant in the VO game for a while and that's no small feat, say hello to you networking Guru.
Danny Homan (Gearbox writer)
Writing for video games, nuff' said September 28
Learn practical techniques for writing interactive narratives, characters, and fundamental elements for writing in game design.
Ever heard of Boarderlands?
Josh Martin (Professional VA and musician, fun fact this dude is Bu in the Dragon Ball dub)
Improvisation for Voice Acting September 12th
Practice improvisation skills and apply new techniques to shape your auditions and performances in a new, exciting way.
I've worked with Josh animating for him before, this guy is too cool for his own good, and he has mad improv skills. Something I always listen for when casting for animation are the unique choices actors make, your ability to improv usually plays a big part in my decision to work with an actor
Chuck Huber (Professional VA, fun fact he is also in Dragon Ball and MHA and much more!)
two workshops, Dialects for VO / Shakespeare on September 3rd / September 17th respectively
Explore regional dialects and accents, or interpret literature through a critical eye for performance.
Why only learn one accent when you can learn how to learn all accents? I've seem him teach and what he brings to the table with regards to accents and his knowledge on Shakespeare are just about unparalleled
You can sign up for our workshops here

AND MUCH MORE!
I'm getting tired of writing this frikin' long post so I'll wrap it up. We've been up and running for over a year and have a lot of exciting projects going on, I hope awesome people like you get involved.
Thanks!
