Hey! I'm a young, aspiring VA, and I often encounter problems I have not before, being new and all. Just had to quick questions!
1. I am recently running into an issue where I can not seem to find any projects to audition for, and my standards are not very high at all. I'm also not getting cast as much because of this. What should I do about that?
2. I do I character and I have not done their voice for a while, and discovered it is a lot harder to do it now. I can still do it, but they sound a little off. (Not horribly, but a little too much for my taste.) I'm trying to do the voice more often so I don't lose it. What else can I do?

Hey there! These are both really good questions. For your first question, VAC forums have a lot of auditions posted regularly by content creators, and if you're also on our Discord, people post a lot of casting calls in the #casting-calls-paid & #casting-calls-unpaid channels! Twitter is also a common source of auditions, if you search for common hashtags there. I hope this helps! As for your second question, practicing a voice always helps solidify it. I often read random silly things in a voice I'm working on, reading the list of ingredients on food while I'm cooking, or just talking to myself. You might also want to try word association. When you're using this character voice, what's a default character that you have pictured in your mind? Come up with a catch phrase for them, something that, when you say that phrase, you're in-character, and in-voice. I hope this helps!

Hey, little bit of a continuation of one of the previous questions. I'm having some trouble finding good projects to audition for. There are some quality projects, but I either do not meet the requirements, do not fit the voice descriptions, or I'm not interested, which does not happen very often at all if it is of quality.

Lulls in auditions happen from time to time. You can either practice or take a break and enjoy some other stuff away from the mic if you want.
