Hi my name is Jonathan and I'm here for multiple reasons as probably everyone else is. I for one really like the idea and the process of voice acting / voice over. What really got me to finally go forth with it was some great complements and great friends who make me want to do the best I can. I even remember someone saying I should become a country singer. Now I know that I won't get jobs right away and that's fine. I have taken workshops before, it was with Victoria Scott she is a really awesome person and it was fun learning from her in her part time workshops, there is 4 parts to the workshop and i've taken 3 I do plan on taking the 4th for the experience and learning. I have gotten two roles for mods for Fallout New Vegas I know its probably not worth mentioning but it was good experience building for me. Now I'm still learning about equipment and experimenting on what works and what doesn't. I used to use a Denali microphone but I upgraded to an Rode NTUSB. Now I know that usb mics aren't the best, but like I said I'm experimenting. I am also in the process of proofing my room, at the moment I use a divider and some blankets over top. Its not the best but it works. Anyway I hope to become a part of this awesome community, so far its been fun on the discord. Thanks for having me

Welcome to the VAC, Jon!
You've come to the right place. There's tons of how-to's to get you setup with a good booth, tips on equipment to use, and lots of casting calls to sink your teeth into.
Don't worry too much about your current resume not being "top tier". We all have to start somewhere. You just take the roles & experience you have, and use them to project yourself further and further towards your goals!
Looking forward to seeing you around!~
