I'm Kyotosomo, and I'm coming at you with my Voice Acting Demo Reel 2017! I'm a highly skilled voice over artist with a high range that can take on virtually ANY male role (and even some of the non-male ones)! You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in collaborating with me or even reach out to me on any of my Social Media pages (there's more information about working with me in the description of the video)! And if you enjoyed the Demo Reel, it would mean the WORLD to me if you could share it! Anyway I hope you have a wonderful day!

This is a pretty good character demo! A couple things I'd like to point out though, the laugh at 0:17 was a little weak. Laughing can be difficult, you just have to do it a lot and practice pushing from your stomach, and controlling your breathing. Also, the last clip could have sounded more pissed off in my opinion, and the "obliterate you" could have been more intense. All in all I liked it!
Sorry I didn't see this until now, thanks for the feedback ^-^! In regards to the yelling unfortunately I contracted an autoimmune disease in my lungs a while back that really ravaged them and at the time I was still recovering (made yelling a little hard, same with doing long lines in one breath as my lung capacity took a hit). Alas I didn't really want to delay the Demo Reel haha, still wanted to release it right at the beginning of 2017. Although luckily now my lungs are mostly recovered. I definitely agree though that I could have put more emotion into the last voice from 1:07 - 1:13 and 1:22 - 1:30 (more so the prior segment).

vytamind: I'm a fairly new voice actor myself but my starter mic that I have been practicing with for the past year or so is the rode nt1-a. From my research, it seems so to be a popular first choice for lots of people

lanieuwer: Okay follow up... realistically, will I be able to find something decent, that won't sound like garbage in the $60-$120 mic range? I know you that if you want quality, you have to pay for it, but I just don't want to break the bank

lanieuwer: in case it turns out I hate voice acting (unlikely) or I'm just too lousy to be successful (more likely)

vytamind: The thing is that it is more about the quality of the sound than your level of acting or performance. Good equipment with a well-treated environment goes a long way

vytamind: there may be good prices on mics somewhere. Maybe even looking at pre-owned equipment?
