This is my first post here, so sorry if this is the wrong topic or something. So I want to do a voice like this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQFPnUjeSoI&loop=0 But I don't know if it's possible. I don't want to go pursue something that actually is impossible. The tutorial says it's definitely possible, but I just wanted to get verification from actual voice actors like on this forum to make sure it wasn't a voice changer software he used. I've had no luck asking general question sites like Quora as I got no answers. I've given it a shot at my own here soundcloud.com/creativitimothy/loli-anime-girl-voice-attempt-1/s-2MM7DCzR2E7 but I believe it sounds pretty gender-less at that point, like I don't think I sound like a girl or guy in that voice recording, maybe more like a chipmunk, so I'm not sure if it's possible. The video of the guy doing the loli voice, I felt like I could hear "estrogen" in his voice when he was speaking in his loli voice like I could hear what I thought was a natural girl sound. However, with my voice recording, all I could hear was a very soft and high-pitched version of my voice, like I could hear the "testosterone" in my voice if that makes any sense. I.e., it doesn't sound as convincing. So I'm not sure if it's possible. Any thoughts on whether it's possible would be great. Thank you:)

I’d think it’s possible! I’ve been able to hit a voice like that and make people think I’m actually female. lol It really depends on your tone and vocal range.

Ooh, I see thank you for your feedback!! Would you mind sharing a voice sample from you doing it? Everyone's "I'm able to do it" is pretty subjective, and that's not a bad thing, but it would help me understand where in the spectrum of "passable" to "incredible" it is I'm personally a perfectionist so I'm very critical of myself also kind of others as well, like someone else's perception of "incredible" is my "passable". My vocal range (to the extremes) is about 2.5 octaves without falsetto, 4 octaves with falsetto. Comfortable vocal range is 2 octaves without falsetto and 3.5 octaves with falsetto.

I’d get you something if my mic was not broken right now, hahah. If I hate to honestly rate it, though, 6-7/10, maybe. Good enough to make people think I’m a girl, but not having a feminine tone, necessarily. Just being a very high pitched cutesy voice. I never audition for females, though. There’s a tone I can not replicate convincingly.
