Audio Book Narrator wanted!!
!!!To give a fair content warning the story itself includes NSFW content which will not be included in the Audio book version.!!!
I am currently working on a creative writing portfolio for my applications. In the context of this portfolio, I want to turn some of my stories into audio books to make it easier for people to access them and since it will be a positive addition to my portfolio.
The story I am currently interested in turning into an Audio book is called ‘The Rabbit in the Moon’ and is a short story with six chapter of which each would be about a thirty-minute read. I’m not picky about the voice reading it.
The only thing important is for you to be able to read fluently. The story itself isn’t beta read since I don’t have anyone willing to do it for me. But I reduced the mistakes to a minimum so it should still be a flowing text easy to read.
The audio will be edited into a video and uploaded onto YouTube.
Following I will add the introduction of the story so you have a general idea what it is about:
It all started with a bet but which bet? ChiCheng and Huang YuLao are two opposites who always stood on the same side but after they make a bet, things change for them. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of things bigger than themselves. Nobody expected that everyday boredom could lead to this much change.
Audition Lines
As for Audition lines since I am only looking for a narrator, I will just give you a short paragraph of the story to see how fluent you can read:
YuLao let out a surprised hum but didn’t say much else when he felt ChiCheng getting comfortable with his head against his shoulder. All YuLao did was turn his head to see a part of ChiCheng who seems to be rather focused on his readings. Then he turned to the other side to look at RuShi who gave him a smile nodding towards the same couple ChiCheng had nod towards before with a soft laugh. YuLao nod in understanding as he returned his attention to his laptop.
Recoding and Sending Instructions:
I don’t really have much instruction besides please send it all in one file with the following label. Name_StoryNarration both .mp3 and .wav are fine.
And label the Email “Story Narration Audition”
I don’t worry about quality since this isn’t a big project and the audio book itself will not count into my application only the views will. So please don’t worry about how good or how bad your equipment is and just if you feel up to it help me out?
