Hello everyone! My name is Gabriel Velazquez aka WolfyGV and I wanted to post my first demo that I've ever made here. I'll be doing a new one soon and I thought it would be great if I got some feedback from other VOs and advice so that I could further improve myself. With that said, here's the link. WolfyGV 2016 Character Demo: www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCEz7fNMRjwThanks for those who took a look! Have a great day/night!

I like the variety you have to offer here. So here are some of my notes:
Your monster character voice doesn't sound too different from your hero voice in the 1:30 spot. I had a hard time figuring out who was who.
I thought the opening character was great, but I wouldn't start off a reel with a character asking questions. The energy of the scene runs out really quickly if there isn't a character to take control of it and questions undermines their authority. That's a bit I learned in improv. If you did do a questions spot, I'd have someone of the opposite sex do a partner read.
Each scene feels like it drags out for 15 seconds too long. If I was considering you for a job, I'd be very impatient and would want to hear your next voice after hearing it for the first 5 seconds. It really doesn't take that long for someone to decide whether or not they like your voice. Try to make strong character choices in the first two sentences and then move on. Establish a character and relationship to whomever he's talking to ASAP. In the first sentence if you can. It'll lead to a stronger read and character spot.
Anyway, hope that helps.

Hi there Wolfygv!
I took a listen to you demo and I must say you have a cool voice that's fun to listen to! (Also the CC on your video is great if you haven't seen it)
As for your demo while it does show a good amount of your voices it takes a bit too long for some the scenes, you can shorten the scenes to a sentence or two and split up the characters to give them each their own personalities and still have time to show off a few more voices as I feel you can get some interesting ones if you play with your voice textures.
Hope that helps! ^-^
