Hi everyone!
My name is Ory. I don't have any voice acting experience but I've always been passionate about acting and I was the first name on the list for most of my school plays. Recently I felt some sort of inner urge to go into voice acting, especially for video games, since I'm an avid video gamer. I'm currently pursuing an Accounting degree but I hope that I'll be able to squeeze in some voice acting opportunities as well. I'm joining this forum in hopes of learning lots of important things from you guys and also hopefully landing a few voice acting jobs. Maybe if the starts align themselves in my favor I can even discover a hidden talent in myself and turn this into a full-time profession!!
So, people of the Voice Acting Club, I am super eager to take my first lesson and hear(read?) any advice you can throw in my direction!

Nice to meet you, Ory! We're both new here! Really take some time to go around boards and talk to people, and I'm sure you'll find that many people share your passion. Welcome!
P.S. What are some of your favourite games released this year?

What are some of your favourite games released this year? Actually the games I was most looking forward to weren't released yet. I'm a big fan of the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series and I'm looking forward to playing AC Origins and FC 5. I know FC 5 will come out in 2018 but February is pretty close to 2017 so I included it I would've bought For Honor if it wasn't $60. I liked the idea a lot and really enjoyed the demo but $60 seemed a bit too much, especially since I'm unemployed at the moment. I got really excited when CoD WWII was announced but then I noticed that it seems they've made it too Americanized and I didn't like that. I'm not anti-USA but if you plan on making a historical video game then at least make it accurate. Also don't choose a setting that you've already made several successful video games in. How about you?
