hey guys , wanted to ask , I'm a college student and still can't afford to pay for all actors but would really like to find voice over for my machnima since it was always my dream to get out that machinima ,the screenplay was written long ago
but as I notice wether paid or unpaid I got no answer ,aren't people interested,though I posted in the post a first part of the chapter 0 , the fact that voice actors don't audition or respond , is it because of the preview itself or something not pleasing ?

Come now, you've only had your project up for a day or so. Just keep bumping it once every day and you'll get some interest.
I did see your project and thought about auditioning, but sadly I've been too busy as of late.
Have a listen to my soundcloud. If there's a role you think I'd suit, I'd be happy to voice for you.
Other than that, just be patient. You'll get your team together.

I sent you an audition, but I almost didn't because the lines need some editing. All of the sample lines you posted have usage errors in them. If these are representative of the quality of the English in the script, I would seriously consider hiring a copyeditor before hiring any voice actors. You don't want the lines recorded with the errors in them. |

Hello well first thank you for your audition , I appreciate this , sorry I wrote them in a hurry I didn't copy-paste them from the script also you may want to consider this I'm actually tunisian and English is not my mother language...And the script was first written in french so I'm now translating it on my own I consider myself good at english but still as a tunisian I could never be better than native english speakers right  and therefore I apologize for having the usage errors you're talking about ,thank you for telling me about it sir I would have hired a copyeditor if I could afford it but I'm still studying .I would understand if people won't be okay with sending auditions for this. |

Similar to cbdroege, I bypassed your audition because the deadline is all over the place. "About 1-2 weeks" then "about 1 week" then "about 1-2 weeks" again on another site suggests to me you don't really know how the deadline rule works on VAC at least. Likewise with the audition lines that have typos and grammatical errors. I see these kind of mistakes fairly often in projects that never end up getting completed, so I usually cut them out of my auditioning rounds and go for the ones that look more polished. =)
Edit: about a copyeditor -- if you can't afford to hire one you could always ask around for a beta reader to help you proof read for typos. =) |

Hello Razzle , sure I'm new to this world of movie making so you're right I should have been much more precise about it and thank you for pointing this out. About the mistakes , I've added in the post , that the final script -that will be given to the voice actors after the whole team will be ready- will be fully correct.Sorry for being mistaken , surely the fact that I'm tunisian doesn't excuse my grammatical/usage errors and I'll hope I won't disappoint you or anyone next time. If you're okay to audition , I'd appreciate ,otherwise , I'll fully respect your opinion and if I were you I'd do the same The reason I'm translating this to english , while I master the french language better ,is because when the french script was read by my entourage ,they told me it would be better to translate it to english since it's much more known/spoken as a language and since the original story has pleased people of my entourage ,I thought why not ? so this way it would reach many people worldwide I apologize for everything. THANK YOU BOTH FOR POINTING IT OUT Again sorry for my english if it's not correct in this post too EDIT : About the deadline it's 1 week for MARY/MICHAEL in the paid section and 1-2 weeks for others characters in the unpaid section ,as MARY is needed in much shorter time since she'll appear in the next part very soon.Also to avoid issues of bypassing the auditions, I'll ask the moderator to close both topics and I hope next time I'll come back with a fully corrected script and you'll give it a shot Razzle |

Keep in mind we are still trying to get the word out about building the community here on the VAC. The more people can promote the site, the better chance we have of attracting even more talent!
