Hello VO experts! I am looking for a quality, high-end condenser microphone that best suits my voice (e.g. clarity, reduce sibilance, etc). I recently had the opportunity to try a bunch of microphones on my short list. Here are the sample files. I just normalized the levels in Audition but no other editing. Would greatly appreciate any feedback! drive.google.com/drive/folders/1yLY53niUaWmiv7qamSCZFgeH7gh0m7w3?usp=sharingThanks, Al

Hi there! Have you tried asking in the #audio-and-tech channel on our Discord server?

I listened to all but the U87 that wouldn't load fast in preview. Of the others, I was immediately hit by the low noise, neutral clarity of the TLM 103. On the others I detected either some hollowness or thickness or blandness or a little noise. etc.etc.
I actually use a TLM 103 but DID NOT THINK I would even like it based upon so many trash reviews of it on more than one forum. I actually tried 3 other Neumann's (more expensive) first but (for my voice) I just didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling. The salesman suggested I at least TRY the 103 and I did but wasn't expecting much. One take, and I was sold. Years back I owned the original U-87 and used it extensively with instruments, singers and other voice people and it was great! HOWEVER...I never liked it on MY particular voice. (mid-low baritone)
I had been looking for an LDC to compliment my Senn 416 and the 103 fits that bill perfectly!
In my humble opinion, you sound good on the 103 and IT sounds like it should...clear, low noise.
Oh...just as a little constructive criticism, work on how you say the word important. '-)
