Hello
I have wanted to do voice acting for a while. I generally have a passion for performing, theatrics, and the like.
I would like to pursue professional voice acting. But, whenever I look up sites where you can offer voice acting services, I shiver by the idea and back out before I even get started. I am not sure if I am ready to take money for it, if my voice is worth anything.
On that note, my voice feels quirky compared to most other voice actors. Like, it is bordering on cartoonish, even though I like the idea of serious roles. I would probably take any role I think I can do, though. It also leaves me with a question: is it easier to do quirky voices than serious voices, or does that just depend on how your voice is, and how you trained it? Like, can someone be really good at doing an advertisement voice, but struggle with voices where they, for example, have to pretend to be a supernatural being, like a goblin?
Hope to get help from other voice actors to understand what I am getting into, or if it is worth getting into with my "skillset"..
I did this little action recording. I do my best to sound serious, as much as my type of voice allows, but somehow feel it comes out quirky still voca.ro/1h73lITwnO1x
