Hello everyone, my name is Christa!
After hearing about VAC on the voice acting mastery podcast (I believe..) I decided to give it a shot and join because everyone has to start somewhere right? Let me give you a bit of information about myself, I've wanted to be a voice actress since I was a little girl though I never knew I could make a career out of it. I was that person in my group of friends that was the black sheep and never quite fit in. I liked (and still like, tremendously) video games and mostly all nerd culture. Back when I was growing up being a 'nerd' wasn't as accepted as it is now, and when I told people I wanted to voice characters in video games and animation they told me I couldn't do it. Long story short, for many years I believed that and pushed my dreams to the back-burner. I went to a community college but changed my major 3 times until finally leaving to take a year off. I've yet to go back.
In 2015 I took a plunge and participated in an Investigate Voice Over session where I exceeded greatly and decided to pursue my childhood dream after being told by the instructor that I should consider doing this full time. I haven't done any serious projects as of yet, aside from a podcast way back in 2010 for an up and coming gaming site, and starting (and also ending) a YouTube channel (just due to it being a bit too much) I'm looking to take on many different projects and build up a resume so that I can someday be as great as the people in the VO industry that inspire me the most and lead me to this path.
(Laura Bailey I'm looking at you.)
I look forward to meeting many people here and to work hard on tons of projects.
Good luck to everyone with their endeavors!
