Hey everyone I'm new to these forums and I decided as my first post to this website I would post a few of my roles so you guys can listen to them if there are any creators out there looking for a voice. Seeing how I don't have many roles (I've been know to get projects that either don't go anywhere or they don't go long.) I will just post the youtube links for you guys to watch, maybe give me some advice, offer me a role, or poke fun of it even. I'll also give you guys a summery of the clips I provided so you know what character I am and what the recording process was like. So here are the clips I've selected for you guys...
Delura
this was one of my first roles that was uploaded to the internet!!... I was so happy how it came out even though I was using my laptop mic and audacity to record my lines....Ok I still use audacity...But anyway there is one more episode with me in it but my mic at the time just got worse and worse and there was another short on the way but I haven't heard anything about it lately which is sad I really liked this webseries it was different and really fun to be apart of the community.
Character: Swami (His name is said as his introduction)
Time: Around 3:14 is Swami's first line
Fun Fact of the video: This and the Delura short lead Ryan Roye to buying my new mic which I still use today lol
Vermin Chronicles
So this right here is Vermin Chronicles A little series of three videos revolving around a virtual novel...I think...I'm not sure they might just be random videos Cryo decided to make. I met Cryofluid surprisingly in a video game. Around 2009 Russian fallout fans decided to create a MMO with assets from the original two Fallout games...and then the outside world and my life seem to disappear from me and I played it for days. Cryo made little short cartoons revolving around his character and his friends (No country for Old Cajuns is one of them...has nothing to do with me I just love that video...) I became a HUGE fan of his work and practically asked him everyday if he need a voice for one of his animations and one day he took pity on me and gave me the part of Eddy!
Character: Eddy...duh...
Time: Doesn't really need one he narrates the whole video.
Fun Fact of the video: Remember that new Mic Ryan Roye got me?...Yeah this is the mic I used.
Fun Fact of the video #2: Cryofluid is french so his english wasn't that good so a lot of it was broken. He asked me to fix it up and I did my best but got bored and decided to just record it as is with a few fixes.
deus ex nihilum
Ok so real talk this isn't my best work, but I am always up for doing side characters and background characters. So this is my proof I guess. This is the first thing I voice acted in that got the media looking at it. kotaku did a review on it, It was a Mod Spotlight on GOG.com, RockpaperShotgun, PCGamer and so on. Honestly its a interesting beast I recall the creator telling me about how the voice acting was going to resemble the old Deus Ex voice acting "JC Denton in the Fresh!" So basically I was a white guy from Tennessee making these stupid voices making myself laugh (I think he kept one of my laughs in there.) But it was a fun time.
Character: Look at the picture for that...
Time: Oh boy in the video above you got...6:34 for "MPS Doctor(I love how my southern ass says Wan Chai)...9:33 is MPS Engineer...And that's it for my characters in this video. You can probably find more of me somewhere in this game (Look...for...the...homeless people!!...Best improv I've ever done.)
Fun Fact of the video: Remember that new Mic Ryan Roye got me?...Yeah I didn't have it then
Fun Fact of the video #2: I tried out for the main character...I think I killed the audition.
So basically what am I trying to do with this post? Well I'm trying to connect with creators and voice actors alike to work with and meet new people. And lets be honest I'm here to audition and get new parts to try and get back into voice acting. I've never been paid for my work because I saw it as a hobby that I enjoyed but I being a greedy asshole never turn down pay lol. But I mostly work for free because it's fun and I enjoy voice acting. If anyone is interested in working with me or just striking up a conversation feel free to message me or anything like that. Smile
