I use the same warm up phrases from my acting class in college. It's a classic, but I still think it helps: "Rubber baby buggy bumpers." and saying "Unique New York" several times.

Yep. Trying to get myself back into voice acting, starting with making that new demo reel. Other than that, everything is mostly good.

I've recorded myself while playing online games with friends, so I have a few sessions to listen to and hopefully that will help a bit. Audacity should be a good program to use right? As far as voice recording programs go, Audacity is perfect for those who can't afford the more expensive programs.

If voice acting is something that you really love to do, then don't be afraid to do what you love.

I like it. Makes it feel like there's less to dig through the forums when looking through auditions and I don't feel so lost and confused.
And yeah. The crosshair rollover cursor felt weird when hovering over links. I'm more used to the default pointer. Especially when I'm trying to edit my own posts and threads. That makes it easier to know what I'm doing.

I was doing a project in college where we had to make our own animations. I used the campus' recording booths and I REALLY started to get into being able to put so much energy and enthusiasm into the roles and the joy of entertaining people no matter how ridiculous or cool you look in the process. If I had known I'd have this much fun with acting in general, I should've made it my college major and my graphic design as a minor. And that's what got me into voice acting. I was able to take an acting class in college during my senior year and I get involved in any available voice acting workshops that I'm able to afford and attend since then.

Hi, everybody! Old members might remember me, but allow me to re-introduce myself.
My name is ShadowRanma. I also answer to the name "Lanko" for short. I am an amateur voice actor hoping to go pro one day. I love to play video games. So far, I'm online to Nintendo and Steam so if you'd like to play a game with me, feel free to drop me a line. I also love anime and manga. I studied graphic design in college and graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts degree.
As far as what I've done in voice acting, I've been involved in a few projects. The most noteable ones I've done was the voice of Link in Hathor Liderc's comic dubs of "It Sucks To Be Weegie" and Purple Link and Dark Link for "Fair-Haired Adventure Seekers". I put up various recordings on my YouTube channel and I plan to put in more in the near future. I just got a new microphone earlier this year, and so far, it's been working like a charm.
That's all about me. Hope to work with you all, and to all of my friends and fellow VAs, it's good to hear from you again. : )
