So, I was watching a video on passion in voice over, and I thought it was pretty interesting. It got me thinking, “Am I actually passionate about what I’m doing?” This got me a bit worried, because I love voice over. I have a lot of passions, but voice over is the only one that I truly want to pursue and thrive in. There’s just something about bringing a character to life that I find not only fascinating, but fun.
Now, I ask the question, how do I know if I’m passionate? I would say yes, but truthfully, I have been worried about it recently. That may just be my paranoia, but I still feel it’s a good question to ask myself. Any responses are greatly appreciated.

If you're passionate about voice acting (or anything, for that matter) then you don't have to worry about it, because you have that passion and it will carry you through.
If you're NOT passionate about it, then it won't matter in the end -- because you'll lose interest and move to something else that you feel more strongly about.
That's my philosophy, and why I try not to worry about it so much. A person either cares deeply about a given thing or they don't -- there's not much point in trying to make yourself care about something you don't, or worrying that you don't somehow "measure up" caring about something you truly DO.

You know you're passionate about voice acting when you look forward to new voice acting gigs and can't wait to have fun doing them.

If this is what you want to be doing, and you are motivated to do it, it's just what Rebekah said. This business is full of a lot of rejection and disappointment in addition to the great highs of booking roles that you want, and if you're not really passionate about it in the end you will naturally move on to something else that catches your interest.
As someone who is now a full-time voice actor after many years, I will be honest with you and say that there are days or jobs where sometimes it really does feel like "just a job" - maybe you're working with a difficult director, maybe you're working with a subpar script that's just hard to bring to life properly, maybe you're off your game that day or feel like you were miscast in the role, or maybe it's a project that you're not all that personally invested in but you're doing it because you want the credit and the paycheck. As long as EVERY day doesn't feel like that, that's totally normal! There is no "perfect" job and we're not going to love what we do 100% of the time.
If you're not sure that you want this as a full career, it's completely fine - and healthy - to pursue other things, too. It takes quite a long time on average to be able to do VO as your main job, so you can even just enjoy VO as a hobby or side job for now and see where it takes you.

I think this is what I needed to hear. In that case, I am definitely passionate about it. I enjoy my roles and have a blast playing them. I think it's just that I've kinda had a period where I'm struggling finding the time to audition, as I have been in a spot where I've been caught up with school and another project that's been eating up a lot of my time. Thanks for the advice, everyone!
