Hello everyone! Im Some random brown guy ,but people call me SRBG ,or SR for short. I was just a lurker at first who looked at post and see if I could get a few roles, but now after posting a few times and doing a few auditions ,I think it would be appropriate to introduce myself. When i was younger, I would watch cartoons and shows and always; pretend that I was part of that show somehow or pretend that im a character that fits that world. To put it simply ,I wanted to be part of those cartoons and their worlds. And i know it sound silly ,or kinda stupid but I feel that voice acting is technically close enough. By the time i was 15 1/2, I was able to make decent impersonations and different voices. From Solid snake to Dr Rockso the rock and roll clown who does cocaine to Napoleon dynamite. I look at my different voices as puzzle pieces or a lost entity that's trying to find a body or host that it can call home, and by that i mean a character that is not of this world we call ; "real life". By voice acting, I feel as If I am connected or part of that world the role takes place in. Like if i had been reincarnated into another life ,that may or may not be killed off later on. Lol Anyway, Im also a semi professional bass player for a band (ask if you want to know what band), and I love to write stories and make videos for YT ,when I have the time. Im also a huge gamer and anime lover and all around nerd,:3. I have several voice reels, but they might not be in um....good taste? But if you really want to see them, then ill post a link. PS: Shia lebouf motivated me to be here and to make my dreams come true! Pps: Sorry for the bad grammar.

Welcome to the voice acting boards for voice acting awesomeness!
I started off doing snake's voice as well in high school and kinda just snowballed into seeing what the world of voice over is all about. We are all here to make this our dream job, and we will work together to get it on the right track. Don't give up and keep on auditioning!

First original role was in a few weeks. You just gotta keep on auditioning and you will get something eventually. May not happen today, next week, or next month, but if you keep at it you will get something. Most people who don't get cast usually just give up and walk away. Mark Ruffalo, actor for the Hulk in the Avengers movie, had to audition 600 times before he made it big. It's a pretty neat article that describes the never give up attitude you will need for acting/voice acting. www.projectcasting.com/news/marvels-mark-ruffalo-had-600-auditions-before-landing-a-role

"If your tired of starting over, stop. giving. up." lol But i have landed a role in this one animation on YT as Stitches (yes the rapper, stitches lol) and I was gonna be Tidus,Jecht and shantotto in this one Disidia finalfantasy machinima but it was cancelled. I have Auditioned for like 4 roles here but its a few days past the deadline and the posters have not given an update whether or not me or anyone got a part the parts. Is that common?

Yes, just give them some time and you will get an email back stating if you got cast or not. If you receive no email within a month or so, just assume that you have not been cast and move onto the next project.

Thank you very much for your awesome comments on my new car smell demo reel! I have a Aston Microphones Origin mic (it's an XLR) with Aston's Rycote Custom shock mount and I just use Audacity to record and cut and trim and Adobe Audition to get the fine tuning down. I have a Scarlett 2i2 interface that plugs into the mic via XLR cord....yeah it may sound foreign to you lol. If you use Audacity, there is an option for "Noise Reduction" in the "Effect" tab. Need a quiet part of your audition or just record no sound and use it as the profile and then apply it to your demo. Of course, you have to fine tune it to get it to sound right, but next time you record anything, you can give it a whirl.
