Hi, I've been told by family and friends I have a good voice for voiceover / voice acting. Any critique you could offer for a clip I did a couple years ago would be appreciated. Thank you! www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2tGeGcTBRw

Hello, I agree with family and friends that you have a good voice, but as a director, I can offer some critique (keep in mind I don't know what the creators of this ad wanted specifically from you.)
The first thing would be to enunciate a bit more clearly and they require to just slow down a tad. There were times where I heard "mod" instead of "mog" and other parts where what you were saying became a little garbled.
Some of the inflections seemed off as well, kind of like you were reading from a script which I'm guessing was the case, but you don't want people to be thinking you're reading from a script when doing voice overs. So like, at the beginning when you say "and you want to know more", it sounds like you attempted to add some salesman personality into that part but it comes as a little too flat and a little too inconsistent with the rest of the video. Of course, I get that doing a video like this can be really difficult because you want to sound either calm and professional the whole way through, so any kind of enthusiasm comes off as incredibly corny.
So in that sense, it's hard to judge your acting qualities but I do think you should focus on enunciating your words. I know when I'm working with actors that is something I am a stickler about along with keeping things flowing naturally.
