From the land of the "I haven't recorded any VA yet", I've got some questions: Do you tend to stick to one mic per job? Or do you switch mics for different takes? Say if you're doing a set of lines at a whisper and another set at a scream, would you switch to a mic with a higher SPL for the screaming parts? Would you switch technologies, say, from a condenser for the whispers to a dynamic for the screaming? If so, how do you deal with the change in sound the change in mics introduces? Thanks, Tom I'm sure Duffy will go into explanation about that, he's the best mic guy on the board! But for me, 1 voice, 1 mic.

I used to frequent VAA, but now I'm here! I already see some familiar faces, heyooo! I think a nice handful of people here use to frequent the VAA, I would be one of them lol. Shame to see what has happened to the site in the past months, but I am glad for a place like this, plus Rina-Chan remodeled the site, new rules for submitting, and pretty much the place to go to for online work. Even though I am hopeful to seeing the VAA come back, it's gunna be rough for them to get back on track. Anyways, glad you are on the VAC, enjoy your stay.

I always looked around various websites attempting to read articles on if this was still going on. Seems like I have found my answer.
All issues that are brought up from the voice actors are just and definitely worthwhile for them to protect themselves and their voice. I don't have any issues with the strike as they are doing it for them and the future talent of the business. While I am non-union, I doubt I would sign with SAG-AFTRA ever unless I am absolutely ready to jump into the competitive field, but that's not even a thought for me at this time.
I hope that they get the majority of what they demand, it would be good as a whole.
