I'm currently helping out on a bigger game mod project that idk if I'm allowed to mention by name just yet. But anyway, the creative director mentioned that it's a shame we can't have voice actors (due to expense/lack of funding). I remembered this website, I'd seen it a long time ago and I figure some voice actors might be excited to help with a project like this.
We have $0 funding. Its just a hobby project, like most of the game mods on steam. We are adding new quests and characters to a game that we love. It's great practice for everyone involved. We might need people who can imitate the official voice actors for the main characters, the companion characters, and of course for the new characters. But that's all if I can get approval from the project leader to advertise for voice actors, and only after we are done writing the scripts/dialogue trees (which we do not know how long it will take but I'm hoping it'll be soon because I want to play this mod already! I was a fan of this project, before I joined the project).
I figure coming here to say hi and checking how active this forum is could help me figure out if it is a possible option for us. Personally, I'm in this for the experience and practice in the field, its my goal to work in the gaming industry in a writing and/or organizational role. Fan projects like this could shine a positive light on every creator and all the talented people involved. I am genuinely enthusiastic about this and I really hope that I can get approval to get some voice talent, or at least advertise in the "other" section for when we need visual art.
