Yes, just give them some time and you will get an email back stating if you got cast or not. If you receive no email within a month or so, just assume that you have not been cast and move onto the next project. Gotcha, btw I heard your voice reel ,and it sounds Amazing!! The quality blows my equipment out of the water, what did you use to record and what software do you use? How do you remove background noise? Im not gonna give up , Im gonna DO BETTER! Thank you very much for your awesome comments on my new car smell demo reel! I have a Aston Microphones Origin mic (it's an XLR) with Aston's Rycote Custom shock mount and I just use Audacity to record and cut and trim and Adobe Audition to get the fine tuning down. I have a Scarlett 2i2 interface that plugs into the mic via XLR cord....yeah it may sound foreign to you lol. If you use Audacity, there is an option for "Noise Reduction" in the "Effect" tab. Need a quiet part of your audition or just record no sound and use it as the profile and then apply it to your demo. Of course, you have to fine tune it to get it to sound right, but next time you record anything, you can give it a whirl.

Hate to say it, but the first day I auditioned lol. But it was for a machinima on another site. First original role was in a few weeks. You just gotta keep on auditioning and you will get something eventually. May not happen today, next week, or next month, but if you keep at it you will get something. Most people who don't get cast usually just give up and walk away. Mark Ruffalo, actor for the Hulk in the Avengers movie, had to audition 600 times before he made it big. It's a pretty neat article that describes the never give up attitude you will need for acting/voice acting. www.projectcasting.com/news/marvels-mark-ruffalo-had-600-auditions-before-landing-a-roleWow,its as the great shia lebouf said. "If your tired of starting over, stop. giving. up." lol But i have landed a role in this one animation on YT as Stitches (yes the rapper, stitches lol) and I was gonna be Tidus,Jecht and shantotto in this one Disidia finalfantasy machinima but it was cancelled. I have Auditioned for like 4 roles here but its a few days past the deadline and the posters have not given an update whether or not me or anyone got a part the parts. Is that common? Yes, just give them some time and you will get an email back stating if you got cast or not. If you receive no email within a month or so, just assume that you have not been cast and move onto the next project.

Welcome to the voice acting boards for voice acting awesomeness! I started off doing snake's voice as well in high school and kinda just snowballed into seeing what the world of voice over is all about. We are all here to make this our dream job, and we will work together to get it on the right track. Don't give up and keep on auditioning! Thank you ,if you dont mind me asking how long did it took you to land a role? Hate to say it, but the first day I auditioned lol. But it was for a machinima on another site. I think these are questions best asked to a copyright attorney. The thing is, once you start getting into legal questions, not only does your average joe online not necessarily *know* the answer, but giving out legal advice when you're wrong can get even a lawyer in trouble. The long and the short of it is; anytime you use copyrighted material in ANY way, and you don't have a legal way to do it (either written permission, it falls under "fair use", or something else), it's copyright infringement, and whether you earn money or not doesn't change that fact. What it MIGHT change is how the copyright holders MAY choose to react, it MIGHT affect the ruling if you get taken to court over it and the judge has to rule whether it's fair use, etc. The thing is, there's so many different ways you can go about it, ranging from horribly illegal to "you probably won't get caught" to going through the proper channels to get the rights to officially dub something -- at which point, it isn't even a fan dub anymore, it's an officially licensed dub. Now, SOME copyright holders won't allow any fan works they can stop, some allow some things but not others, and some love fan works. It depends on the person and/or company. So just because you break copyright, you might or might not even have the copyright owners care -- they might monetize or take down your video if it's on YouTube, but not do anything else -- or you could get taken to court. This right here, there would be so much legal tape in doing so. Now, if this were an original project, with everything purely yours, then go ahead for a donation box. Actually, I impose you to create an original project maybe inspired by Haikyuu and Mystic Messenger and give it a go. Doesn't have to be solely you, you can ask others for help and brainstorm ideas to make it a radioplay or visual novel.
